If you’re in the market for a mobile command vehicle, consider Pierce.
Pierce knows that every department’s organization and operations are unique. For an important long-term investment such as a mobile command vehicle, Pierce will work with you to identify the right chassis, the appropriate-sized body, and the exact interior functionality that your community or surrounding communities need to maintain command and control of any situation. Pierce understands that customization is essential to each department.
Our sales representatives assist each customer in establishing buying criteria. We work with you to understand the entire process, including your budget. In addition, we’ll want to know: What is the expected life cycle of the unit? Is it a new or replacement unit? What features from a previously sold unit must be applied to this unit? What can we do better? Where will it be used? What is the area of coverage – any tight streets, unusual terrain, low bridges or overhangs? Any physical constraints we should be aware of? What are some of the required functions and capabilities? What are the storage, habitability, workspace, audio/video, communications, and satellite connectivity requirements?
At Pierce, we consider both aspects of the vehicle – the interior and the exterior. The body exterior is just as important as the interior layout and communications systems, and vice versa.
We know that a well-equipped command center with the proper chassis/body platform will get to the incident and last longer. Unlike many interior outfitters who build on almost any customer-requested platform without necessarily considering the end use, the primary focus at Pierce is making sure all components are included to meet the customers’ needs today and in the future.
Pierce knows that its robust chassis will get to any scene but a completely well-thought out and designed interior package will effectively manage the incident. That’s why we offer a variety of products and options to help the customer procure the most robust chassis/body combination without compromising maximum functionality of communications, workspace, storage, and habitability.
This is the first in a series of three articles discussing the Pierce Mobile Command Vehicle. The next installment will discuss highlights regarding Pierce exterior body construction and the available chassis based on desired body sizes. Followed by information on the interior layouts as well as our ability to offer you a very customized and fully functional (or pre-wired) communications suite. At Pierce, we understand that by providing all the information to the customer helps you be prepared for anything.
